Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews
In line with Working Together 2023 and the Norfolk’s plan for Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements, the Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership has developed guidance and templates for Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews.
From October 2019, we will no longer be commissioning Serious Case Reviews but following these processes instead. We welcome feedback on the guidance and hope you find it useful.

Norfolk safeguarding practice reviews:
A young person, named as Delta in this report, sadly died after being fatally stabbed. Delta was eighteen at the time. Child Safeguarding Practice Review (CSPR) statutory guidance applies to children under the age of eighteen therefore a CSPR could not be completed in these circumstances. However, Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) were keen to understand Delta’s life, and the services provided to him and his family, to identify any relevant learning that may strengthen the services provided to children affected by criminal exploitation and/or Serious Youth Violence (SYV).
Any Norfolk Serious Case Reviews and Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews that were published more than a year ago have been removed as per publication guidelines.
