Working Together Engagement Events
We are signposting some upcoming Working Together to Safeguard Children Engagement Events.

The Department for Education has a commitment to regularly review Working Together to Safeguard Children statutory guidance, and information on targeted engagement activities ahead of a proposed update in 2026.
The update will focus on a system that safeguards all children including learning from serious child safeguarding incidents, strengthening anti-discriminatory practice, responses to child sexual abuse and domestic abuse, and safeguarding looked-after children. They will also consider how to reflect key learning from a reforming system in statutory guidance, in line with the Families First Partnership Programme.
There will shortly be engagement events, and they welcome a mix of multi-agency views across all roles. Some of these events will provide an opportunity to discuss specific themes, and other events invite sector-specific views.
The events will also provide an opportunity to share feedback on the Children’s Social Care National Framework, statutory guidance published alongside Working Together to Safeguard Children in 2023.
